Excel not Working?

Microsoft Office has updated its security protocols recently and this means we have to take extra steps to be able to be able to edit/add formulas to our job sheets.

An error you might come across looks like this:

There are 2 ways to resolve this:

Option 1: Open the file location, right click on the file and go to Properties. Under General, check the Unblock option and click Apply. Please note this will only apply to the file you’ve changed so you’ll have to do this for every new file.

Option 2: Trusted Locations

Any workbooks saved in trusted locations will not be blocked by default.

Please note as all files in the location will be “trusted” documents hence, for security, we recommend to create a new sub-folder in your downloads.

Adding a Trusted Locations

To add new trusted locations, go to File

Options

Trust Centre & Trust Centre Setting

Trusted Locations

Add new location

If you have multiple places where your excel documents live on the computer, you can add as many locations as you require.

Whenever you download a new file from BUZ, ensure you save it to the trusted location and you should be able to open and edit the file without having to change any of the settings.
