Job Sheet - PDF error

Job Sheet - PDF error

Symptoms

When viewing the PDF version of the jobsheet you notice that the formula is showing an error or N/A

When inspecting the Excel version of the same job sheet this correct answer is populated.

There is a few potential causes

Cause - The formula is too new for our conversion program converts Excel to the programming code we use for BUZ then back as a PDF or Excel sheet.

Formula’s like

  • XLOOKUP

  • LET

  • XMATCH

  • TEXTAFTER & TEXTBEFORE

Solution - Unfortunately you can only use formulas built before 2019 eventually this will get updated

Cause - Another cause could be that the formula in Excel is using the Approximate match in the formula.

Generally this won't be an issue but there are cases where Excel will be able to calculate a result but the PDF is not able to come up with an answer.

Solution - the formula will need to be amended to have better parameters for the PDF

Cause - Inconsistent formatting can cause errors, a whole column can be set changing the format between rows can cause errors.

Solution - Highlight the whole column and set the format to the required type.

Cause - Data settings does not include all the sheets or the Table size does not reflect the table in the tab

This area informs the software about the relevant pages and the sizes of the tables that need to be populated, if this does not match it can cause errors.

Solution - Ensure all tabs (including hidden tabs) and tables are updated in the Data settings area.

Also make sure that the sheets are in the DataSettings named field
