Creating an Automated Email Template for Customer Order Confirmation

Overview

This guide explains how to create an automated email template in BUZ that sends a confirmation email to customers when they accept an order. The template must be named "Customer Confirmation" for the system to recognise and use it automatically.

Steps to Create the Template

  1. Template Name

    • Document Name: Customer Confirmation

    • Note: The template name must be exactly "Customer Confirmation" for the system to function correctly.

    • Document Type: Check Order

  2. Email Details

    • Email to: Leave this blank or you can use the following fields

      • [Contact Email Address]

      • [Billing Email Address]

    • Email from: Sales@company.com input your companies default email here

  3. Email Subject

    • Subject Line: BUZ Blinds Confirmation of Order: [Reference Number], Job Description: [Reference Description]

  4. Email Details

    • Salutation:

      • Dear [Contact Name],

      • or

      • Hi [First Name],

  5. Email Body

    • Thank you for placing your Order: [Reference Description]

    • Please check your order (measurements etc.) and advise us immediately if you need to make any corrections.

    • Order No.: [Reference Number]

Additional Information

  • To create similar templates for other use cases (e.g., wholesale customer quote confirmations), follow the same steps but modify the Email Body and Subject accordingly.

Check Order

This is the covering email sent to Wholesale Customers when they request an email of the Quote using Online Ordering.

The email is sent to the user's email address; if the order is not entered by a customer user, then no email is sent.
