I cant edit a price Co-Efficient, why is this a bad idea?

BUZ has deactivated the Edit function as it was not intended to be a primary function, it was only meant to be used if an error had been made.

Why can’t I just edit the price

If you change the price it will change the old orders

What you want to do is add an updated price which will have a new date that it is active

Leave the old price there so that the previous orders can still work

What happens if I edit the price

Exactly that the price that was in the system will be updated and all previous orders will be edited, even if the customer has accepted it.

This is the Excel version which doesnt show the other versions of the price, to see this

But if you look at the inventory item you can see that the pricing Co-efficient is at the bottom.

If there have been any new prices added you would see them here.

What if I just change the date and edit the old price

For the example below we change the date from the 27th March to the 1st of June.

Any orders placed before the 1st June will lose its value as the date the price is active from has been moved.

So what should I be doing?

  • You can remove the PKiD but you dont need to, we will remove it if you use A for add

  • Update the date that you want the new price to be active from in column E

  • Modify the price values

  • Input an A for Add in the Operation Column AQ

This way any orders place between the 27th May to the 1st June will be $1 and anything after 1st of June will be $2
