BUZ to Google Calendar

BUZ can now integrate with Google Calendars. It is a work in progress, so there might be more to come in future, but for now, it is a pretty handy function.

Every Sales rep and Installer has a mobile phone, and to save time, they can now look at their Google calendar rather than logging in to BUZ to view their calendar.

Calendars For Sales Reps (and installers shortly)

Admin users won’t be able to use this functionality without restricting themselves to a calendar; it is not designed for admin users.

As an admin, you can still have your own Google calendar. The Sales reps can share their Google calendar with your Google calendar and provide all the permissions so you can change and move appointments.

Moving Appointments

You can move appointments in both Google and BUZ, and the other platform will update almost instantly.

At this stage, You cannot move appointments between sales reps' calendars.

In all my tests, when a Google appointment was disconnected from the BUZ calendar, BUZ cancelled the Lead, which is a pain to reactivate; it also deletes the appointment from the sales reps' BUZ calendar.

I have asked the devs if there is a fix, they are looking into webhooks as a solution, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Creating an Appointment

Leads should be created in BUZ; it is possible to create appointments from Google Calendar; it won't save the customer details; it'll just make it a private appointment in BUZ.

Set up

There are multiple steps; it is not a complex process; it just takes some time to do it all.

Step 1 Google Accounts – Admin to do

Create a Google account. I created a personal account dedicated to the business; if you have a Business account, the steps should be the same.

If you have already set up calendars in BUZ and linked them to the User, you can skip this step, but for all new Sales reps and Calendars, you will need to do this.
