Discounts in BUZ

Discounts in BUZ

There are two types of discounts in BUZ.

  • Manual, one-off discount

  • Automated

Ā

Applying a manual discount to the order.

You can change the value of an order to add a one off discount to the quote total. Add the new discounted total amount in the Total boxĀ ā†’ then hit the apply button.

Example 1 - Apply a price change

Ā

Example 2 - Apply a dollar discount

Ā

Example 2 - Apply a percentage discount

Ā

How are discounts applied?

When applying a discount the discount is calculated off the "Amount" (After the customer discount is applied)

The discount is divided over the items on the order that allow a discount to be applied.

Ā

Inventory Groups can have a maximum discount that can be applied before requiring approval from an admin user.

If an Inventory group has a higher different discount compared to the other Inventory groups on the orderĀ the discount is divided accordinglyĀ

example: (10% max for rollers and 25% for Venetians)Ā

If the Max discount (10% and 25%) is exceededĀ BUZ will allocate the additional discount evenly over the items on the order &Ā the quote will require discount approval before proceeding through the workflow.

Adding items after the discount has been applied

If items are added to the order after the order has been discounted, the system will not change the discount value and will recalculate the total order with the same amount applied

Ā

Automated discount

A Customer contact card can have an automated discount applied to all orders. Generally, this would be a negotiated amount that the business has provided for a particular Customer or Customer Group.

Automated discounts can be customised, and each and every Inventory item can have a different percentage value.
