Material Lists
Each Group (or Product) will have a list of Materials, which are crucial as they generally represent the main inventory items for a product. While you can also have other inventory items like components and services, these will be discussed later.
BUZ offers the flexibility to have up to three fields for each Material. You can reduce the number of fields if needed, but these fields are useful when a customer changes their mind about the type or colour of the material. These fields are also included in several reports.
These fields are also in a few reports
How to populate the Material list
You can fill in all the fields if you wish, but to get started, you only need to complete the following fields:
DescnPart1 (Material)
DescnPart2 (Material Types)
DescnPart3 (Colour)
Row D, E and F have (Material), (Material Types) and (Colour ) as the default examples, but you can customize the fields within the Group.
Additionally, you need to enter a Tax rate (generally GST) in Column L and complete the operation field in Column AO with one of the following options:
A - Add
E - Edit
D - Deactivate
How to Populate the Table
Each line represents a separate material option. If you have different colours, you will need to enter each colour on a new line.
Similarly, if you have different material types, you will need to specify each type and its corresponding colours on separate lines.
Example:
For a fabric range called Broome, which comes in both Light Filtering and Blockout materials, you would enter it as follows:
DescnPart1 (Material) | DescnPart2 (Material Types) | DescnPart3 (Colour) | Tax Rate (Column L) | Operation (Column AO) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Broome | Blockout | Ivory | GST | A |
Broome | Blockout | Pewter | GST | A |
Broome | Light Filtering | Biscotti | GST | A |
Broome | Light Filtering | Ivory | GST | A |
