The Structure of BUZ OnDemand

BUZ OnDemand (often referred to as BOD) is host in the Cloud, that means the server is situated in a data centre with a high speed connection to the internet and a dedicated server support team rather than in yours or our office accessed over a mediocre internet connection and the server managed on an ad hoc basis.

Collecting Data for BUZ

All data collected for BUZ needs to be in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and in most cases these can be downloaded.

The step are:

  1. Get a list of Products which in BUZ we call Inventory Groups. This is done using the BUZ Checklist.xlsx which is attached to the BUZ Welcome email.
  2. Create a list of Inventory Items that make up this Inventory Group and identify them by up to 3 criteria that makes them easy to find and determines the base price. For example for blinds; fabric, fabric type and colour or for security doors style, mesh and colour. For Inventory Items such as parts and product options there it is normal to have no criteria just a Inventory Code.
  3. For pricing done by Grids create a list of Price Grid Descriptions and code to use as a reference from the Inventory Item. The Price Grids each have a Start Date so one Price Grid Description can have several Price Grids attached each is the price at different points in time applied according to the quote date.
  4. Inventory Items can also belong to Inventory Discount Groups which when cross referenced with the Customer Discount Group and the quote/ order date determine the discount to be applied to this Inventory Item purchase.
  5. Each Inventory Group has Group Options which is the configuration list that determines exact detail of the item to be supplied and it's price with any extra cost options to be included.
