You have been tasked with updating prices in BUZ, but you don't know where they live in BUZ.

So here are the steps I would take to find the item/s

Things that can help

  • Do you know what the item is called? Click here (to be added)

  • Do you know which Group it is in? Click here (to be added)

  • Do you know which question it relates to? Follow the steps below.

I have no idea what the item is named in BUZ or which Group the component is in

I understand your frustration; when the item was added, it wasn't named correctly, or it has been recycled for this Product, and just because I order it in Rollers, the motor doesn't live in that Group.

So let us start our search.

Step 1

We need to find the question that uses this item.

For my example, I will be looking for a Sonesse Motor.

The first thing I would do would be to look at the sales questions. To do this, I will create a new order; I won't complete the order; I want to see the area to look for the question.

Once I am here, I will find the question and answers to narrow down the area I need to search.

Now I know one area where the component would be.

For my example, I can order the motor in the Roller product, which would be in the Control question.

This will make more sense soon, but for now, note down which Group you found it in,

the component might be accessible in a few products, so don't overthink it; we need one product group for now

Ok, let's download the group options.

If you don't know where that is, go to

Settings → Inventory settings → (in the tabs select) Group Options → Download current Layouts.

Select the Product that you found the item in. So I will be downloading my Rollers Product Group, and I will be looking for this question.

  • Control Option / Colour

Open up the Group options you downloaded and find the heading corresponding to the question in the sales area.

I highlighted Row 7, which is the Questions, to make it easier to see

Once I found the answers to the question, I highlighted them too.

The inventory code is found after the answer, which I have highlighted in red.

Now that you have the inventory code (mine is MOTORLMTRRTS328), you can go to the Inventory Items area and search.

Settings → Inventory Items - type in the code found in the group options

And now you will know which inventory group the Product is in; mine is in the Somfy Motor Extra's Group
