Purpose
On this page I will show you how to set up a product that has a Component (Inventory item) that is independent from the Material/Fabric dimensions.
You may want a rail, track, pelmet, chain, post or something that isn't necessarily the same size as the Fabric
Design
The Values in Yellow will not affect the values in Blue - Once the Material and its values have been completed, then the Component it the required value will be calculated

Setup
The table below has a component (Inventory item) listed in Column E, that requires its own value for the width , - Click here for an example where the component uses the width field from the FabricWe which is listed in Column F, we also want the component (or Inventory item) in Column E to not be affected by the values entered into Columns B, C or D and requires its own value in column F.
To make this happen we need to let inform BUZ that we are not using the standard headings (ITEMWIDTH, ITEMHEIGHT, ITEMDEPTH) to determine the Width, Height or Drop
Setup
I have created a heading in Column E - COMPWIDTH, (you can rename this for your products it is not a defined name)
Next I need to refer to this Heading in row 3 of columns E & F, I have entered COMPWIDTH for the component.
The next step is to link the Component’s width (Column F) to the Component (Column E) to do this enter the Heading of the Component into the width Column in row 3 (Highlighted in Blue)
This is because column E is where the Inventory Item is selectable,
The next thing we need to do is to tell BUZ what type of value we want, so for this first table I require a width to be entered, Column E & F row 4 I have specified this by entering in the BUZ Keyword for width “ITEMWIDTH”

Unknown value shows up for the component
You may notice that the size includes the height of the fabric, this shouldn’t affect the price if you have setup the price grid/pricing co-efficient correctly
unfortunately the system is designed to include this, there are other scenarios where you may need this information,

If you only want the entered value to show there is a trick that you can do which will remove the other value, in this scenario I want to remove the Height..
...
So I have added another question which will set the height to zero, the question does not need to have a numerical value, the example below is a List with a Yes/No question.
We just need these 2 values in a question somewhere after the Width, it doesnt need to be the next question it could be 3 or 4 column later, it just needs to have the HEADING and Data Field (ITEMHEIGHT for this example)
