Purpose

The purpose of this page is to show users how to link an inventory item to an answer. There are various reasons for this being but not limited to

  • Adding a Price

  • Adding a cost

  • For reporting purposes

  • To change a status

In this tutorial I will not show you how the item will calculate, as there are many factors of which need to be discussed and you can find out how BUZ Calculates an inventory item by clicking here

Note: Before you start this process ensure you have created an Inventory item, you will need the code from the inventory item Adding Inventory Item/s

Example setup

In my example I want to add a price to a Motor, I have create a Question “Controls” and when Left or Right Motor is selected I want an inventory item (with price included) to be apart of the order

Group Options

Inventory item

Adding Directly to the Answer - Option 1

There are a two different ways to add an inventory item to the group options

The first being to the Answer related to the inventory item

We are going to add the Motor , the table would look something like this

After the answer in the group options you will need to input a |

This is usually found underneath the backspace, you will most likely need to hold shift but not all keyboards are the same so you may need to read the keyboard manual (or google it)

Now we add the Code of the inventory item to the answer

It should look something like this

Add the inventory to the column - Option 2

For this example we will add the Inventory to the column and any answer will add the inventory

Note: you cant have any options that are not the motor for this setup, if you have another option and select it the Motor inventory item will be added to the order
