Microsoft Office has updated its security protocols recently and this means we have to take extra steps to be able to be able to edit/add formulas to our job sheets.
There are 2 ways to resolve this:
Option 1: Open the file location, right click on the file and go to Properties. Under General, check the Unblock option and click Apply. Please notes this will only apply to the file you’ve changed so you’ll have to do this for every new file.
Option 2: Add a directory to your trusted locations. Please note as all files in the location will be “trusted” documents hence, for security, we recommend to create a new sub-folder in your downloads.
To do this, go to your Downloads folder and create a new empty folder. Move your excel file to the folder and open then:
Go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations > Add new location… > Browse > navigate to the folder you created and click OK > Click ok to exist from settings > Close your excel file and re-open
Whenever you download a new file from BUZ, just move it to the new location and you should be able to open and edit the file without having to change any of the settings.
