Material Lists

Each Group (or Product) will have a list of Materials and these are very important as they are generally the main inventory item for a product, of course you can have other inventory items like components and services which we will discuss later

BUZ offers you the ability to have 3 fields for the Material, you can reduce them if you wish but these fields are handy for when a customer changes their mind about the type or colour

These fields are also in a few reports

How to populate the Material list

You can fill in all the fields if you wish, but if you just want to get the data in there to start off with the only Fields you need to fill out is the

DescnPart1 (Material)
DescnPart2 (Material Types)
DescnPart3 (Colour)

I know that it has Material, material type and colour, but these are the default examples, you can change the fields in the Group

You also need to enter a Tax rate, generally GST in column L and

complete the operation field in Column AO

A - Add
E - Edit
D - Deactivate

How do I populate the table

Each line is a separate material option

If you have different colours you will have to enter that in each line

If you have different material types, again you will need to specify that and each colour for the material type

As an example I have a fabric range called Broome, it comes in both Light filtering and Blockout material, this is how I would enter it in

The Ricky Richards Fabric List BUZ Format file has a notes column added to let you know which fabrics are discontinued or new, this will need to be removed before loading to BUZ.
