Overview

These are per Inventory Item and are set by date.

These are usually used when a Price Grid is not used but can be used in combination with a Price Grid.

Your Inventory Items must be set up before setting up your pricing coefficients help can be found here.

For a more information about on price grids vs pricing coefficients click here.

Adding Pricing coefficients

In adding or editing these prices is to export the current prices. If no prices have been imported previously the list will still export the data setting up the sheet with zero prices providing a template list of current items to work with.

Download Pricing Coefficients

Go to → Settings-> Inventory Settings-> Pricing Coefficients-> Import/Export Prices

If no prices have been imported previously the list will appear in the sheet green with no PKID's and  zero prices, providing a template list to work with.

Like the screen shot below.

Below are the headings when exported and used for importing.

Important Note - Operations:

  • A = Add (Use this to put pricing changes in that don't effect previous sales)
  • E = Edit (DO NOT USE E UNLESS YOU MEAN TO CHANGE EXISTING PRICING AND EXISTING SALES THAT USE THESE PRICES!!!)
  • D = De-Activate

The columns:

ColumnDescription
PkIdUnique Identifier created by system
Inventory CodeIdentifies Inventory Item prices apply to
DescriptionInventory Item description
Customer Price Group CodeOnly used if Customer Price Groups used
Date FromThe Quote Date these prices apply to quotes dated this date and up to the next Date From Price Coefficients for the Item. *** Dates through out BUZ are critical DON'T just use today's date it is usually not the best choice! Call BUZ support if not sure BEFORE importing the sheet.
Sell EachSell Price per item (each)
Sell LM WideSell Price per metre for the ItemWidth value (see Group Options) entered for the item.
Sell LM HeightSell Price per metre for the ItemHeight value (see Group Options) entered for the item.
Sell LM DepthSell Price per metre for the ItemDepth value (see Group Options) entered for the item.
Sell SQMSell Price per square metre (ItemWidth x ItemHeight)
Sell Percentage On Main

Percentage surcharge calculated using the price of the main item. Can be part of the calculation of the price of the main product in which case it is applied as the last step of the price calculation. Examples:

1. A blind price is retrieved from a price grid but the fabric selected sells for 20% more than the base fabric which is the price returned by the price grid.

2.  Applying a 10% discount to the price. (Ensure your Sell minimum is set)

Sell Minimum

This is the minimum sell price to use if the calculated price is less then this. Example:

  1. Item is sold by square metres but the minimum is 1 square metre so Sell Minimum = Price of 1 square metre.

  2. To ensure a negative number (10% discount) can be taken away from the total, you need to set the sell minimum to ensure it calculates ($-10000.00).

Cost.......Theses prices are the same as the equivalent Sell columns but are used to calculate the item cost.
Install SellTheses prices are the same as the equivalent Sell columns but are used to calculate the item's Installation Sell price. This is added to the item Sell Price if a delivery product is NOT included in the quote/ order. That is, installation is included by default.
Install CostTheses prices are the same as the equivalent Sell columns but are used to calculate the item Installation cost. If the installer/Delivery is a contractor this is what is paid to the contractor.
Other columnsThe remaining fields are for additional functionality planned for BUZ.
IsNotCurrentSet to true to De-activate the prices.
OperationRow is ignored if left blank. Refer to Important Note - Operations above for available values.

Adding new pricing

Update your exported document Add, Edit or Deactivate your pricing using the correct headings as per the above information.

When adding (A operation column) pricing to new Inventory Items you need to put a date in the "Date From" column this is the date the price will be effective. The PKID column should be blank or can show as multiple zeros.

Adding a new price for an existing pricing coefficient

  1. Delete the PKID
  2. Put the new date that the pricing is effective from
  3. Put and A in the operation column.

Editing an existing pricing coefficient

This process will override all existing pricing in the system from the date which is in the "Date From" column. If you want to change the price for any current orders/sales within the system use this editing (E) function.

In the below example we are updating any orders/sales from 20/2/2019 with the Inventory item OPRL60 to cost $120 instead of $100

Applying a Sell Percentage On Main Discount

Example : How to apply a 10% discount for an Inventory Item already include in a price, to ensure the negative value is taken from the pricing total, the sell minimum needs to be set to a negative value otherwise it will calculate the negative value but will default to taking away zero value.

Important Notes

If you EDIT an existing pricing coefficient all EXISTING QUOTES will be updated with the new pricing.
